Partnership with Conservation Nation
Somaha Foundation is pleased to announce a new partnership with Conservation Nation on the theme nature protection.
In the joint Somaha Biodiversity Fellowship project, Conservation Nation is enabled to expand the reach and impact of its fellowship program. Designed as a one-year funding initiative, the program supports three conserva-tionists from underrepresented communities in the Global South whose work focuses on marine and coastal ecosystems. In addition to financial support, the program offers mentoring, professional development opportunities, national and international networking opportunities, and an increased visibility of their work.
Conservation Nation is committed to strengthening the global conservation movement. A key focus is placed on supporting conservation professionals from under-represented communities. These groups often possess in-depth knowledge of ecosystems and their protection, yet they are frequently overlooked in decision-making processes and funding structures. Their targeted support not only enhances the effectiveness of nature conservation measures but also contributes to greater equality of opportunity and social cohesion. At the same time, a diverse community of dedicated conservationists is emerging, one that is intended to inspire future generations as well.
Further information on the funding partner can be found on the Conservation Nature website.
