Rights in Exile: platform for refugees

AsyLex has taken over the management and further development of the Rights in Exile Platform - an innovative, technology-driven legal platform that aims to improve access to justice for refugees worldwide. The platform aspires to become the go-to online hub for refugees seeking legal information and support, while also providing valuable resources for legal advisors working in the asylum field.

Legal assistance for refugees is often scarce and difficult to access. By providing centralized resources and fostering global collaboration among legal practitioners, the platform fills this gap and empowers those affected. Its aim is to enable individuals to exercise and enforce their rights independently. The platform’s central aim is to provide asylum seekers and refugees with comprehensive information about their rights and to give them access to specialized, local, and free legal advice.

Using a collaborative management model, AsyLex brings together experts, legal advisors, and organizations from the refugee legal community to further develop the platform. Together, the platform's resources are expanded, its reach increased, and a global network established.

The platform was originally developed by AMERA International. Sharing the same vision – to provide access to justice for asylum seekers and refugees through free legal advice – AsyLex took over the platform in July 2024, ensuring its continuity and further development. AsyLex requires further financial support for the long-term operation of the platform.

Further information about the project can be found on the Rights in Exile Platform website.
