Continuation of the partnership with Brainforest

Somaha Foundation is extending its partnership with Brainforest on the theme of nature protection. Brainforest is committed to promoting biodiversity, in particular the protection of forests, by supporting start-ups and further developments to create marketable and scalable solutions.

Since the beginning of the collaboration, the joint project has initially pursued the vision of establishing a venture platform. The project has since evolved into a support and development model for companies dedicated to forest and biodiversity. To this end, Brainforest has developed an initial Impact Strategy and Theory of Change and grown its portfolio to nine ventures.

The new project Scaling Impact 2035: Redesigning Brainforest’s Impact & Governance, focuses on upgrading Brainforest’s Impact Strategy and Governance framework to responsibly scale from nine to 100 ventures by 2035 and become a reference point for economic incentive structures in forests and biodiversity. The objective is to establish a coherent Impact and Governance system that captures the diversity of ventures and links impact metrics directly to governance processes and economic incentives. The upgraded system ensures that capital allocation maximizes nature-positive outcomes per Swiss franc deployed.
