Partnership with Social Income

Somaha Foundation is pleased to announce a new multi-year partnership with Social Income on the theme people in need

In the joint project Further development of the technological infrastructure for money transfers in the Global South, the existing digital platform is being expanded and opened to third parties. This enables non-profit organizations to independently initiate and manage programs to fight extreme poverty.

Social Income enables direct money transfers, providing the most immediate form of humanitarian aid, while strengthening the autonomy of local people. Selected beneficiaries in need receive direct and unconditional payments via mobile phones, enabling them to improve their living conditions independently. However, technical challenges are preventing the wider use of this service. This is where the further development of the Social Income Platform comes in.

In addition to opening the platform to third parties, an extended impact analysis is being integrated to enable continuous improvement of the technology and operational implementation. Furthermore, a flexible fundraising tool is being developed to support organizations in raising funds for their programs.
