Call: Alleviating acute suffering in forgotten crises

Somaha Foundation provides emergency relief worldwide to alleviate acute suffering caused by war and disaster. This call serves to identify organizations based in Switzerland that have not yet received support.

Crises fade from the public eye and thus often also from the focus of international support. These forgotten crises are long-lasting emergencies that receive little attention despite the great human suffering caused and affect particularly vulnerable groups whose livelihoods are at risk.

Somaha Foundation provides targeted support where uncomplicated aid makes an immediate difference, especially in forgotten crises in the Global South.

If your organization is involved in this area and meets the following criteria, we look forward to hearing from you:

  • Your organization has already been working on the ground in the Global South for several years to alleviate the forgotten crisis, for which you are seeking financial support.
  • You are a project manager in a non-profit organization based in Switzerland that has a recognized certification (e.g., ZEWO).

Your contact request must include:

  • The name of the forgotten crisis with a link to further information
  • A link to the applicant organization and the contact details of the project manager
  • Bank details (IBAN, account holder, name of the bank, desired payment reference)
  • Proof of tax exemption in Switzerland and proof of certification (e.g., ZEWO-Link)
