Somaha impact report with the Swiss Red Cross
Somaha Foundation understands impact as changes achieved through targeted measures in line with and to maximize the Foundation's purpose. It is guided by its Theories of Change, which provide a schematic description of the change it seeks to achieve. At the end of multi-year partnerships, the Foundation and its funding partners reflect on the goals achieved and the lessons learned. The Foundation acknowledges the collaboration in the Somaha impact report.
The partnership between Somaha Foundation and the Swiss Red Cross focused on the National Society Development (NSD) program area. The aim of the collaboration was to strengthen local Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies in their role as key humanitarian actors by supporting selected thematic priorities and developing systematic frameworks.
The financial support and ongoing dialogue with Somaha Foundation enabled the Swiss Red Cross to delve deeply into issues related to partner capacity-building, organizational development, impact assessment of transformation processes, and to implement concrete initiatives in various countries.
